Six For Sunday: Favourite LGBTQ+ Books!

The meme “Six for Sunday” was created by A Little but a Lot  weekly prompts can be found here

This weeks theme is Favourite LGBT Books!

As I predominantly only read diverse books, I had quite a few for this prompt, but I managed to narrow it down!

1) Heartstopper by Alice Oseman (5 stars)

A graphic novel, read my Goodreads review here

This is my favourite book of 2019 so far!

2) Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand (5 stars)

Read my review here

This was one of my favourite books of 2018! All 3 main characters are queer.

3) George by Alex Gino (4 stars)

Amazing novella centred around a young trans girl.

4) Nimona by Noelle Stevenson (5 stars)

A graphic novel. This is just such a fun take on superheroes and supervillains, I definitely recommend!

5) Every Heart a Doorway series by Seanan McGuire (4 stars)

I’m cheating here as I am recommending the whole series (4 books) but this series is filled with LGBTQ+ characters and it’s just phenomenal, please go check it out! Each book follows a different main character.

Let me know in the comments your favourite LGBTQ+ book/s!

  3. I have Every Heart a Doorway on my TBR, but I’ve heard amazing things about it!

Also I adored the romance in Sawkill Girls, and pretty much all the characters and the dynamics between them throughout the novel🙂.
